Skin Needling & Vampire Facial

Skin needling is a treatment using a pen that is covered with numerous tiny needles. These needles penetrate the layers of the skin to a depth of up to 3mm. Clear channels are open for topical serums or your PRP Platelet Rich Plasma to be absorbed more effectively through the top layer (epidermis) of skin.

The concept of skin needling is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical damage such as cuts, burns and other abrasions. Skin needling triggers the body’s healing process which allows for a controlled induction of the skin’s self repair mechanism and increases new collagen synthesis.

Skin needling improves skin tone and texture, reduces pore size, helps with pigmentation, smooths fine lines and wrinkles, improves depressed acne scarring and minimises acne and break outs

When using your own PRP Platelet Rich Plasma aka “VAMPIRE FACIAL” it is using your own body’s growth proteins to encourage this healing, and collagen and elastin growth at a faster and higher level than say vitamin serums which are applied in basic skin needling.

Skin needling may be conducted safely on all skin types and colours. Topical anaesthetic is applied pre treatment for patient comfort. Blood will be taken from vein for PRP Platelet Rich Plasma treatment

  • After your treatment

Do not apply makeup to the treated area for 48 hours after the procedure. Change your pillow case and keep the areas treated clean and moisturised. Gentle cleansers and moisturisers are recommended. It is also recommended for at least 7 days post treatment to not use any AHA or BHA’s such as glycolic acid, lactic acid or salycilic acid etc. No retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C or anything perceived as “active” skincare to be used for at least 7 days as this may prolong healing or cause more redness and irritation. It is also recommended to avoid any intentional and direct sunlight for 24 hours post treatment or attend gym environments. Sweating and gym environments are harmfully rife with bacteria, and may cause adverse reactions or infections. If any discomfort is experienced post treatment paracetamol can be taken

What are the possible side effects of Skin Needling?

You may experience redness, warmth and slight irritation after the treatment. This is normal and will subside around 24 hours post treatment. You may also experience spot bruising and swelling, this can last anywhere from 3-14 days

Fraxis RF Radio Frequency Needling Gold Coast

Fraxis RF Radio Frequency Needling

Fraxis RF Needling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure combining microneedling and radiofrequency (RF) energy to rejuvenate the skin. It improves skin texture, firmness, and overall appearance by stimulating collagen production. Key benefits include reducing fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, pore size, and hyperpigmentation, while tightening the skin.

The device has tiny, sterile needles that create micro-injuries or channels in the skin's surface. These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural healing process, leading to the production of new collagen and elastin, which are essential for skin strength and elasticity. Simultaneously, the same needles deliver RF energy deep into the skin layers.

The RF energy generates controlled heat within the deeper layers of the skin, this heat then further stimulates collagen production and tightens the skin by promoting the restructuring of existing collagen fibers.

This treatment involves minimal downtime, and is suitable for various skin concerns, making it a popular non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment.

Plasma Fibroblasting

Plasma is a combination of solid, liquid and gas. When these 3 elements are combined, they create a static charge causing a spark that is visible to the human eye. This treatment creates small superficial ablations to the outer layers of the skin which in turn tightens the skin instantly and continues to tighten whilst the healing process occurs.

It is a particularly effective treatment for stretch marks, tightening and removing fine lines around the eyes and mouth and mole or skin tag removal. The skin is completely numb prior to treatment however you may experience some discomfort. Downtime with this treatment is not for the faint hearted. With healing times varying from around 14- 21 days depending on area of treatment. Mole and skin tag removal however are quite pain free, quick and minimal to no downtime.

  • After your treatment

Swelling and bruising is expected post fibroblasting treatment. It usually takes around 7 to 10 days for the little abrasion dots to scab and flake off. Do not pick these areas in any circumstances as this can result in permanent scarring. Do not apply makeup to the treated area for 48 hours after the procedure. Change your pillowcase and keep the treated areas clean and deeply moisturised. Gentle cleansers and moisturisers are recommended. It is also recommended for at least 7 days post treatment to not use any AHA or BHA’s such as glycolic acid, lactic acid or salicylic acid etc. Sweating and gym environments are harmfully rife with bacteria and may cause adverse reactions or infections. If any discomfort is experienced post treatment paracetamol can be taken

What are the possible side effects of Plasma Fibroblasing?

The possible side effects of plasma fibroblasting include redness and swelling, scabbing and crusting, hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, infection, scarring, discomfort or pain, allergic reactions, and prolonged healing.

Chemical Peels

A Jessner is a chemical peel. A mixture of AHA, BHA and Resorcinol which works by removing the top dermal layers of the skin to reveal smoother, more even skin tone and texture. The depth of the peel can be adjusted by our skilled therapists in order to best suit your skin needs. Skin may be red and sensitive post peel and over the coming days tighten then shed for at least 5-7 days (in some people a little longer). The Jessner is fantastic for acne, smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, texture and evening skin tone such as freckles, skin discoloration, melasma and age spots.

TCA peels utilise Trichloroacetic Acid to remove dead skin cells and stimulate new, fresher skin growth. Perfect for general skin rejuvenation, acne scarring and more typically pigmentation and melasma, they are one of our stronger peels. Post peel your skin will tighten, darken and then shed for around 5- 10 days (in some instances longer). You will see your pigmentation coming up to the surface with the dead skin, then flaking away to leave fresh, soft, supple new skin underneath.

Lactic acid peels are a milder peel derived from alpha hydroxyl acids (AHAs). The lactic acid peel helps to brighten and lighten skin, improve fine lines and wrinkles and dry up acne prone oily skin. It is a wonderful choice for a first-time peel or for those with sensitive skin and want less of a downtime compared to the Jessner or TCA peels.

Mandelic acid peels are also made of alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA) but tend to be even less irritating than lactic acid peels. Mandelic acid peels are a great “pick me up” for the skin, helping to accelerate skin turn over and improve fine lines and tightness for and over all complexion.

Microdermabrasion & Hydrodermabrasion

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive exfoliative procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture. Traditional microdermabrasion utilises crystal or diamond tip suction technology to exfoliate away the first layer of skin, revealing fresher rejuvenated skin and helping with most common skin concerns.

What is Hydrodermabrasion?

Hydrodermabrasion is a newer ablative procedure that exfoliates the skin. It differs from microdermabrasion in that it utilises water or vitamin serums and oxygen rather than microcrystals. Hydrodermabrasion uses supersonic jets of water droplets to peel away the top layer of skin and can be slightly gentler than traditional microdermabrasion. This exfoliation treatment is suitable for all skin types and is the “Holy Grail” of ultra-hydration. The blood circulation from this treatment encourages collagen and elastin production. Also great for blackheads, shrinking pores, hydrating the skin and getting that smooth even skin tone and texture

We offer both Microdermabrasion and Hydrodermabrasion. If you are unsure which will suit your needs, please book in for either and our skilled therapists can decide after thorough consultation with you.
