Antiwrinkle/ Muscle Relaxants
When we move our muscles, they cause dynamic lines (movement Lines). Overtime, constant muscle use in the same areas lead to static more permanent etched lines. Anti-wrinkle treatments are used to soften or prevent these lines by inhibiting muscle movement at the sites in which they are injected. When administered by experienced injectors these treatments also work to correct asymmetries, slim or lift certain muscles and areas of the face, enhancing facial harmony and beautifying the face. Treatments can also be used to relieve pain, tension, headaches, teeth grinding and jaw clenching associated with overworked muscles in the frown, neck, trapezius and jaw. Antiwrinkle injections can also offer a solution for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), providing a marked reduction in perspiration when administered into the armpits, face, groin, hands and feet.

Before your treatment
Please stop taking any blood thinning medication such as fish oils, Aspirin, Nurofen, Ibuprofen or other anti- inflammatory medication which could increase the risk of excessive bleeding and bruising 2 days before treatment
After your treatment
Do not have any facial treatments, rub, lean on or massage the treated area for 3-5 days post injectables. You may cleanse gently, though no harsh scrubs. Avoid lying down for 4 hours post injectables. Do not partake in strenuous exercise or heat inducing activities on the day post injectables treatment. Results may take 1 to 14 days to take effect. If you need a complimentary follow up appointment, please book 2 weeks post treatment. Refresh appointments should be scheduled every 3-4 months.
How much does it cost?

How long does it last?
This varies and depends on individual metabolism and dosage. However on average Botulinum Toxin A (muscle relaxants/ Anti-wrinkle injections) last around 3-4 months.
What are the possible side effects of Antiwrinkle?
Possible side-effects include redness, bruising and/or swelling at the site of injection. Other rare, however still possible, side effects may result from individual response to medication. Depending on areas treated such temporary effects could include: over-active eyebrows (spocking), eye-lid or eyebrow or mouth drooping (ptosis) and asymmetries. Often, these issues are easily fixed during review at the 2 week mark. In other cases, they should self-resolve within 1-3 months. Some clients experience a mild headache after Antiwrinkle injections. If this occurs, take Paracetamol as needed
Type B or D?
Botox and Dysport are both the same drug, Botulinum Toxin Type A. Botox was the first ever approved through the TGA and is manufactured in America. Dysport is manufactured in Europe. Both Dysport and Botox are considered safe and effective for the temporary treatment of moderate to severe wrinkles
Dermal Fillers

What are the possible side effects of Dermal Fillers?
Bruising, swelling and asymmetry at the site and surrounds of injection. This may last anywhere between 5-14 days. Rare but possible side effects can occur. These are thoroughly discussed during consultation. We take all possible educated measures to avoid complications and are thoroughly trained in managing adverse events and dissolving dermal filler in case of any emergency, There is no obligation to proceed with treatment should you decide it is not for you.
Collagen Stimulating Injections
Sculptra
Sculptra is a TGA approved collagen stimulant made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) that stimulates collagen production to restore facial volume and reduce wrinkles. It’s used to treat facial fat loss, deep lines/folds and can also be used for body contouring. Sculptra offers natural looking, gradual improvements with effects lasting up to two years. The treatment involves several sessions with common side effects being mild swelling, redness and bruising.
Profhilo
Profhilo is an injectable treatment with high concentration hyaluronic acid that improves skin hydration, elasticity, and reduces fine lines. It stimulates collagen and elastin production providing natural and subtle results. The treatment involves two sessions four weeks apart with minimal downtime. Common side effects include mild swelling, redness, and bruising.
Rejuran

Platelet Rich Plasma
When injecting your own PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) we are using your own body’s growth proteins to encourage a faster and higher production of collagen and elastin growth. PRP was originally used for equine injuries. It was then further studied in humans and used for such issues such as chronic tendinitis, osteoarthritis, orthopaedic surgery, oral surgery and now more commonly known and used in plastic surgery and aesthetics.
PRP is prepared by taking your blood and then putting it through the centrifugation process to separate your platelets from red blood cells. This is done in the clinic at the time of your appointment. It generally takes anywhere up to 6 weeks to generate our collagen and elastin, so multiple treatments and time may be needed in some cases. PRP Injections are used in many different areas of the face and body and for various results. Ranging from antiaging and skin tightening to hair restoration to repair of ligaments, tendons, muscles and joints.

Fat Dissolving Injections
Deoxycholic Acid is a substance injected to cause permanent destruction of fat cells in specific areas such as the chin, neck, jaw line and other areas of the face and body. Response is usually seen 6-8 weeks after the injections

After your treatment
Do not rub or rest on the treated area for 24 hours following injection. Apply ice gently and/ or bruise creams such as Hirudoid or Arnica to treated area if any swelling or bruising. It is very common to experience significant swelling around the area of treatment. This may last for around 7 to 14 days post-injection. Sometimes longer for some people.
Do not bend forward for extended periods of time for at least 48 hours from the time of treatment. Do not have any facial treatments, manipulate or massage the treated area for at least 48 hours after the treatment. It is not recommended to participate in any exercise or heat inducing activities for 48 hours post treatment. If any pain post treatment is experienced it is recommended to take Paracetamol.
What are the possible side effects of Fat Dissolving Injections?
Possible side effects may include transient headache, swelling, bruising, itching, numbness, redness, tenderness and asymmetry. Severe swelling can be noted during the first 7 to 14 days or longer
PDO Cog Lifting Threads
PDO (Polydioxanone) threads are another method of tightening, thickening and lifting the skin. Made from the same material as dissolvable stitches used in wound care. The threads become a support structure that also activates collagen synthesis for a lifting, rejuvenation effects

A complimentary follow up appointment will be booked 2 to 4 weeks post treatment
How long until I see results?
Results may be seen in 6 weeks and will continue to improve over 2 to 6 months. While the threads slowly dissolve, their effects may last up to 12 months.

What are the possible side effects of PDO Lifting Threads?
Clients will experience bruising, swelling, asymmetry, tightness and some slight discomfort post treatment. This will subside over the following weeks. Some rare complications can include nerve tingles/pain, infection and visible threads. At Bella Donna we do our very best to minimise these complications or treat should any arise.
