Antiwrinkle/ Muscle Relaxants
When we move our muscles, they cause dynamic lines (movement Lines). Overtime, constant muscle use in the same areas lead to static more permanent etched lines. Anti-wrinkle treatments are used to soften or prevent these lines by inhibiting muscle movement at the sites in which they are injected. When administered by experienced injectors these treatments also work to correct asymmetries, slim or lift certain muscles and areas of the face, enhancing facial harmony and beautifying the face. Treatments can also be used to relieve pain, tension, headaches, teeth grinding and jaw clenching associated with overworked muscles in the frown, neck, trapezius and jaw. Antiwrinkle injections can also offer a solution for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), providing a marked reduction in perspiration when administered into the armpits, face, groin, hands and feet.

Before your treatment
Please stop taking any blood thinning medication such as fish oils, Aspirin, Nurofen, Ibuprofen or other anti- inflammatory medication which could increase the risk of excessive bleeding and bruising 2 days before treatment
After your treatment
Do not have any facial treatments, rub, lean on or massage the treated area for 3-5 days post injectables. You may cleanse gently, though no harsh scrubs. Avoid lying down for 4 hours post injectables. Do not partake in strenuous exercise or heat inducing activities on the day post injectables treatment. Results may take 1 to 14 days to take effect. If you need a complimentary follow up appointment, please book 2 weeks post treatment. Refresh appointments should be scheduled every 3-4 months.

How long does it last?
This varies and depends on individual metabolism and dosage. However on average Botulinum Toxin A (muscle relaxants/ Anti-wrinkle injections) last around 3-4 months.
What are the possible side effects of Antiwrinkle?
Possible side-effects include redness, bruising and/or swelling at the site of injection. Other rare, however still possible, side effects may result from individual response to medication. Depending on areas treated such temporary effects could include: over-active eyebrows (spocking), eye-lid or eyebrow or mouth drooping (ptosis) and asymmetries. Often, these issues are easily fixed during review at the 2 week mark. In other cases, they should self-resolve within 1-3 months. Some clients experience a mild headache after Antiwrinkle injections. If this occurs, take Paracetamol as needed
Type B or D?
Botox and Dysport are both the same drug, Botulinum Toxin Type A. Botox was the first ever approved through the TGA and is manufactured in America. Dysport is manufactured in Europe. Both Dysport and Botox are considered safe and effective for the temporary treatment of moderate to severe wrinkles
